Please read: how many weeks am i?

Dr did a blood test and urine test. She said the results came back that I'm 1-3 weeks pregnant. But for my last period 11/16 it puts me to over 5 weeks. I'm confused. They wouldn't do an ultasound. Has anyone had similar stories?

She likely means you are 3-6 weeks (when she says 1-3 I would assume she is referring to 1-3 weeks since you ovulated since you are technically 2 weeks pregnant the day you ovulate)

They can't tell how many weeks you are by blood or urine. They will measure you at your first ultrasound.  HCG levels can't be used to determine weeks bc they vary so much especially if your having multiples.

Your period is just used to get a basic standing of where you may be in pregnancy. If i went by my period, i would be about 9 weeks or something, but im 7w5d! 
They try to wait for an ultrasound until they believe you are around 8 weeks. 
The blood test probably gave them your hcg levels, which helps them narrow down about where youre at. Hope this helps!
