Would this be bad...?

I'm guessing since I'm asking it's not the best thing to do.  My dad is coming for a short 2 day visit last minute arriving midnight and I work next day at 7am.  Would it be wrong for me to ask him to take a cab?  I think what makes it questionable is he's never been to our house.  I live maybe 20 min from airport...I just think maybe I need to suck it up and get him...
