fetal echo for ivf?

I had my 12 week NT scan today and everything looked good. My OB said that we'll have to do a fetal echo since this is an IVF baby and they do them for all IVF babies. Anyone had this done or heard of it?

Yes. I am as told because we did ivf with ICIS sometimes the baby can have heart defects but she said she's never delivered and ivf ICIS baby with any heart issues. Just a precaution they take.

Never heard of it and I did IVF. They treated me the same as every other patient. If your insurance covers it then sure why not, but otherwise I don't see the need.

Yes, I had one done with my daughter and I'm scheduled to have one done with my second baby in 2 weeks.
