My boys heartbeat has always been higher than 140 so I don't think it's a good way to determine gender

According to what people say, if it's higher than 140, it's a girl. If it's lower, it's a boy 
I have also heard quite a few people say this was false for them. 
Our baby's heartbeat was 176 at my 8 weeks 3 days ultrasound 
I am close to 15 weeks, find out gender at 20 weeks. So, we'll see if it was true for us then!
