I am 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced since I was 24 weeks. I am currently 37 weeks!

Everyone is different. I've been 3cm since I was 34 weeks. I've had tons of contractions and am 37 weeks, still pregnant as can be!

Not necessarily. You can stay at that dilation for weeks. I'm surprised they even checked you. (Unless you're high risk) My midwife said they won't start checking me until 40 weeks unless there are contractions or other concerns- or I'm in labor.
