Like, come on now. If you and another person agree on something, then the same person jumps down your throat, because your opinion is "wrong", but it's the same as theirs???? How does that make sense!?

This is what the Internet as harbinger of anonymity has done to logic and rhetoric. Debates are whittled down to the same eight or so platitudes (i.e. "Go educate yourself before posting", etc.) and stopped before any meaningful discussion can be had. Very sad. I usually just avoid it.

They think that they are right so anything other than their opinion, in their view, is wrong

Everyone thibks they are an expert and everyone craves to be "right" when there is no right or wrong. Most of it, even laws, are based on moral code that someone may or may not follow.
