My daughter is 7 month's and she sleeps with a blanket! I check on her, the reason tho is we don't have real windows in our room so it gets very cold, even when we have the heater on and it's 80 in my room she sleeps in ther play pin and because heat rise's she is still cold. I put her in feetie pjs and cover her with a baby blanket.

I didn't give a blanket until toddlerhood. He was almost 2 I think. They don't really need one, just put them in warm pjs if you're worried about them being cold. Honestly kids move around so much when they sleep anyway.

I would second probably never but we cover him with a light blanket (his favorite to snuggle with) around 5-6 months
