tattoo while pregnant?

My husband and I want to get matching tattoos but I'm 15 weeks pregnant and we are worried that it's a "no no". There is one tattoo shop that I get mine at now so I truly trust them and they are the CLEANEST I've ever seen. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. If we do, I will be talking to my doctor first but I would like some other opinions.

Shops won't tattoo you.

It doesn't matter how clean they are, it's not allowed.

Tattoos are a no bc of increased risk of infection. Your immune system isn't as strong during pregnancy.

The shop won't do it more than likely and your doctor will definitely say not to. Pregnancy isn't forever. You'll still have the chance in a year from now ☺️

OK the ink does NOT enter your bloodstream. If one actually researched it, the "danger" in getting tattooed while pregnant is the same as why all OTC meds tell us to call our doc before taking it- nobody knows, therefore nobody wants to take the chance. The risk of infection is higher with our suppressed immune systems, so yes an infection could be catastrophic. There is also the risk of the tattoo not healing right because of skin changes during pregnancy. It's recommended to wait because nobody knows the effects.

Most shops won't tattoo you while pregnant or breast feeding. This is because the risk of infection while pregnant is greater. And breast feeding because tattoos heal like a trauma and take important antibodies from your breast milk to heal your tattoo.

I had a tatt done the day i found out i was pregnant. ( i had the tattoo done before i actually found out) and she was a beautiful healthy bubba. But i dunno if id get one done knowing i was pregnant... as i probably wouldnt forgive myself if something bad happened to bub afterwards.

I would advise against it. I got a tattoo  in March and found out that night that I was pregnant. Soon after I had a miscarriage. I don't know that the tattoo actually had anything to do with it but I wouldn't chance it. I still blame myself.
