I may have been pregnant with twins? thoughts?

I found out I was pregnant BEFORE my missed period (I had implantation bleeding and thought I was getting my period a week and a half early. After some spotting I tested several days later) and it was super positive. Like even showed up positive within a couple seconds instead of the three minutes or whatever. I started bleeding about two three weeks later, bleeding that increased as the days went on and I had bad cramping. When we went for our ultrasound they said I looked like I was only 7 weeks or so even though I'd been tracking and knew when he was conceived. I have a healthy son now but I can't help but think he was a twin and we lost the other. I've thought this since we had our first ultrasound and throughout the whole pregnancy and even to this day. Obviously there's nothing I can do and I'll never really know but what do you ladies think? Any experience?

I know it's random but I just saw a post of a very positive test and people were suggesting twins and it got me thinking.

In reality a very positive test has nothing to do with twins. I had a very positive test at 9dpo and I'm having one. My SIL had faint positives even after her late period and she did have twins. She also works at a fertility clinic and told me the only way to determine twins is by ultrasound (I was worried haha)

Bleeding sometimes happens and is not always a miscarriage.

I had twins at my first ultrasound (6 weeks) but the heart rate for one was very very low. I went back the next week and they only found one heart still beating. They said since technology has become so advanced they are finding many pregnancies are multiples but the body  terminates due to chromosomal abnormalities. I did not have any bleeding though. The other baby usually gets absorbed back into the placenta. I am now 10 weeks and go back in a few days to see how it is looking in there!

It would have been a fraternal.. that happened to my mother in law. My brother in law would have had a twin, but she lost it and made him a threatened miscarriage because she bled so heavily for the rest of her pregnancy.

I had twins for the first 8 weeks, until one was absorbed. (Sounds sad but we're still thrilled to have one happy baby growing in there!) I actually had no signs or symtpoms at all, aside from the fact that my mom dreamt I was having twins!

It doesn't matter either way, just curious as to what you ladies thought. I had a "feeling" it was twins or that I'd become pregnant with twins but I'll never know and I'm so blessed to have my son it doesn't even matter!
