I've been with my boyfriend for a year and three months now and we've been through a fair bit already. We live together and have two dogs and talk constantly about having kids and what we'd name them. I love all that, but he just told me that this whole time he'd been lying about wanting to get married one day. He doesn't think it's necessary in this day and age and that it's stupid. I've grown up wanting to get married one day. Nothing huge and fancy but I dreamt of walking down the isle and saying "I do" to that perfect person. I know he's the one I want to spend my life with but I also know that I'd never feel right if were to never get married.
