How can I dilate faster?!

I have been told my cervix is nice and soft, I'm just not dilating. I'm in so so much pain how can I start dilating?! All advice and tips are welcome!! Thank you all so so much!

Walk, bounce on ball, warm bath.  Unfortunately if your body doesn't want to dilate it won't.  Keep counting kicks and if anything seems off or you are in too much pain don't hesitate to go to the hospital.  You also need to keep a close eye on your blood pressure.  Good luck!

Turn off the lights, lower sounds, and slow dance with your SO. Seriously. The main hormone responsible for keeping labor moving along is Oxytocin. 
It works best and produces more in a quiet, low lit setting. Staying upright/moving around helps it circulate. It's also the love hormone, so cuddling/touching your SO will help it along, as well. 
It's not uncommon for labor to stall when a mother goes from her home to the hospital. Hospitals are brightly lit, noisy, and that's an abrupt change. They also usually have you sitting or laying, which doesnt help. It just isn't an environment that promotes oxytocin, and less Oxytocin means contractions and dilation slow or even stop.
