Due date accuracy?

Question

Do you all think the lmp edd is most accurate, or the due date the baby is measuring at? Its about a month's difference between mines so im now getting on the weekly monitors, but im anxious to know when my little guy might make his arrival. Lmp has him due March 2nd but on the scan he's measuring at February 8th! He was already a 5 pounder on dec 21st. Your thoughts?

What was the first due date your doctor gave you based on your first US??? That's what you would go by.

Is this your first baby? Some people just have large babies...I know someone who had a 10 pounder and an 11 pounder. Also was the baby measuring on track size wise before 20 weeks? That's actually a better indicator of accurate due date because babies grow at the same rate in the beginning of pregnancy. My baby has been measuring 2 weeks ahead at all of my scans but I am positive the due date is correct because I was tracking ovulation. Also the measurements on ultrasounds can be off by quite a bit.

What he's measuring at is the most accurate.  Lmp is just an estimate

At my last appointment at 35 weeks baby was measuring at 39 weeks. I know my due date of Jan 31 is accurate because we planed this pregnancy and had my iud removed, after tracking back the conception date we got pregnant just a week after removal. So there's no way it could have been eirlier. I have no medical issues and my pregagncy has been as normal as anyone could hope. My doctor doesn't expect him to come anytime soon, so we're just expecting a big baby. However I am pretty tall and bigger than average, and my husband is over 6ft. So we expected a bigger baby anyway. I would just go by your original due date but have everything ready just in case baby wants to come early.

I'm in the same position. Our son is measuring at over 5 lbs at 32 weeks. I had a miscarriage prior to conceiving, and did not have a period in between the miscarriage and this pregnancy. Because of this, the OB guessed on my approximate due date. I REALLY feel like they have it wrong and he's further along than they think, but they won't change my due date (February 25). He's been measuring large the entire pregnancy. The bad news is I asked my OB if he's huge, can I be induced earlier than my due date and she said no. She can't induce me until 39 weeks, even if he's huge. (Very unfortunate, since I feel I'll be 39 weeks BEFORE I'm technically 39 weeks.) Then she said I have to try it a vaginal birth and if he doesn't fit we'll switch to csection.... So wreck my vagina and my stomach. 😱😱😱

I don't think babies measure that big unless u have some underlying pregnancy issue. So he very well might make his grand appearance somewhere feb.
