peeing on back! advice?!

My 2 week old son keep wetting his diaper but the diaper is dry and instead it somehow gets all over the side of his back. We're pointing his penis down and we've tried multiple brands of diapers and nothing seems to be working. Any advice?!

Definitely size up in diapers. You can also try a more absorbent diaper if that doesn't work.

Following. My son has done this a few times recently. We thought it was the size of the diaper as he's on the verge of outgrowing size 2, so we put him in size 3 and the next night he peed up his side/back again but the diaper itself was nowhere near full. So I don't know what else to try. Last night was fine though (in the bigger size) so maybe it was just a fluke the one night he peed out of the size 3.
