Does he want to kiss me?

A few days ago I was hanging out with my guy friend who I am more then friends with but we don't do anything but hug.  I asked him if he has ever thought about kissing me after I told him that I've thought about kissing him and he told me "no comment".  We've known each other for a year now.  He even got me something special for Christmas but I don't know what it is since he had to order it.
