False Negative??

Question

I'm two days late & have taken two PT and both have been DARK negatives no mistaking it
Still no period though
Anyone get false negatives? 
I'm giving it a couple more days to buy a different brand but just wanted to hear experiences to know if I should even test again

Test again in4-5days.when I was pregnant I took two tests one three days after missing period and second day four.both were negative. I took a third test on day six and it was bfp!!!!

I did. First one one day after missed period and the second one three days after missed period. Finally got a positive five days after missed period. 
First two were actually very faintly positive but just didn't show up until they dried out (which you aren't supposed to read them anyways)
