My guy told me after he asked my father for my hand. But I was so mad becuz I wanted to be surprised (obvi) then he was sooooooo excited and wanted to show me the ring, but I had to put my foot down becuz I knew it was gonna happen but I still wanted some mystery with my proposal lol. But then when he popped the question it was the most beautiful ring I could ever imagine and I was so happy that he has good taste and I trusted my intution

My husband always knew I wanted my late grandmothers engagement ring. My mom was still very attached to it and not ready to give it up, so my man searched all over for a replacement in the same style. 8 months later, he still couldn't find a worthy ring! My mom had a change of heart, and let him propose with her mothers ring :)  To this day it makes me (and mum) very proud to have such a sentimental piece on my finger.
