Family or love

I know it will sound strange to most of you all.. However being an indian and from a conservative family.. it's tough when your family opposes to the one you love. My bf is an Indian christian and I'm a hindu. My parents asked me to choose between my bf and them as getting married to a non hindu would put them to shame in the eyes of society. I love my family and I don't want to hurt them at the same time I'm struggling to convince them to accept my bf. I can't runaway with my bf as I won't be able to live happily without the blessings of my parents. Please help me with your suggestions.
