I don't know about yall, but I was raised to never ask a question of a man I didn't already know the answer to.
 
So, why, I ask, after telling my partner this dozens of times, does my SO insist on digging a grave 9 out of 10 times? 
 
We were out to lunch today (and granted I am 6 months pregnant and an emotional mess) and an old flame of his came over to say hello. I have never met her but have a picture of them back in the day.
 
Well, after she walked away, quick hello and how you doing, I asked SO who she was. His response, "oh, I think she used to date a friend. I'm not really sure."
 
Um, IM SORRY! Did you become unacquainted with your penis recently?! It's fine to have exes. I know you had sex before you met me, you have a daughter from your first marriage! 
 
I don't care about the white lie, I'm pissed he thinks he tricked me! Give me some credit you moron, I keep an eye on you, you're too handsome for me not to!

I'm going to go out on a limb, which I never do, but maybe she just doesn't mean that much to him. If he left out the part that he slept with her, then maybe its for your security. My guy tells me  past relationships don't matter, hence why we don't talk about them. Try to appreciate that at least he thought of your feelings enough to leave that part out cause really, if he said he slept with her,  I'm sure the end result would be much worse than a rant on here.

I think there just alway afraid were going to freak out on them and it usually does happen sometimes by the truth and sometimes by the lie they were caught in, i think a lot consider it a 50/50 and would rather lie and not have to argue over it, but yes its still very hurtful to flat out lie

Damn! I can't believe he tried pullinga fast one on you. Before I married my husband if there was a girl that I didn't know an asked who they were he'd be like oh old friend or just someone from school, but he'd leave out the part of I slept with her or dated her whatever. I always found out and it wasn't that he was hiding the fact of who they were he just didn't want me thinking he was a whore or to be jealous. I just tell him to be honest because if we run into a guy I slept with or dated I'm not gonna say they are an old friend or something. I'm gonna be honest an be like yep had a thing with him no big deal.
