my boyfriend wants me to take BC

My boyfriend and I recently became sexually active, well he will not stop hounding me about getting on BC. I've been on it before and hated it. I couldn't stick with a set schedule of taking the pill. I've tried to tell him I don't want kids right now as me as he doesn't. I've explained to him also that I hate BC. And he just gets pissy with me.
