retrograde ejaculation

SO my husband and i went to the fertility specialist today.I was told everything on my end beside (my weight and im working on it) was good. he said my eggs were ready to drop in the next week or so and next months were forming. my husband however did not have a good call. The doctor told us his sperm is going back into his bladder which is called retrograde ejaculation. now my husband is diabetic. and the doctor sent out blood any work and a bladder cult. and we go back in 2 week (1/18/17) I am having a very hard time with this and i was wondering if anyone or anyones husband had this? Ive been looking things up online but i would love some one who has good or bad stories i just need to know what to kinda of prepare myself for.
