breastmilk?

Hello all, how long can you freeze breast milk for? And how do you defrost this? I don't have a clue on the process?

I still have a ton of breast milk in the freezer from my first. He's 2.5. I should probably clean out the freezer huh? Lol

I see other people have commented about storing it, so I'll just answer your second question. Always thaw breastmilk in cool/warm water. Never microwave or use scalding water. :)

Once it's thawed from freezer only good for one day and if thawed then warmed an hour.

I went to a breastfeeding class yesterday and the lactation consultant told us to remember 6,6,6.  
Freshly pumped: 6 hours
Freshly pumped and stored in fridge: 6 days
Freezer: 6 months

Stores for up to 6 months! Defrost by putting the bag in hot water! As hot as your sink will get! Then once it's defrosted, drop test it on you'll the inside part of your wrist (:
