When should I expect my milk to fully come in?

Our son came into the world on 12/29/16 and I'm not sure if my milk has come in yet. It seems like he is feeding properly however I haven't felt that engorgement feeling yet. Every Mom I have talked to has said that I will KNOW When my milk comes in because it is painful however I have not experienced this yet. My son was feeding a lot more frequently the last few days however today he seemed to be on about a 2 or 3 hour schedule. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I didn't Feel the engorgment until a week after my milk came in. I noticed around day 3-4 that my LO was drooling milk 😂. That's how I knew!

I never felt pain when my milk came in but I did leak. If your baby isn't fussy during or right after eating and is having 6 wet diapers/day, I would say your milk is in!

About day 3 or 4 I woke up and my boobs were huge and a bit hard. That is just my expierence though

My milk came in on day 3. It didn't feel any different to me and I don't feel my letdown. The only reason I knew my milk had come in was because I just suddenly started leaking like crazy. I was pretty confused because I expected to feel it but instead I just woke up to rivers of milk..my husband thought the whole thing was hilarious.

I had a c-section the 22nd, my milk officially came in on the 26th, and I started to feel my breast get fuller and got clogged ducts January 1st. Didn't get a painful sensation when it came in, just the color changed n my supply increased

My milk came in on day three. It wasn't painful at all. My boobs just felt fuller and almost kind of lumpy. The lumpiness goes away when your milk evens out. I've never heard that milk coming in is supposed to be painful.

I had a normal birth on Monday at 5pm and woke up that Friday to my boobs feeling hard and full. My milk came in that evening. Honestly for me I didn't feel it nor do I feel anything with the let down. I EBF for about 4 days until I realized there was a latch issue and my LO wasn't getting enough to eat. I've been pumping for the last 4 months and supplementing with formula. You should have your milk come in within 5 days but if you had any complications or lots of bleeding it could take longer (at least my home check in nurse told me that as my milk took a bit longer to come in).
