dying hair during pregnancy

I know there's a lot of controversy about hair dye while pregnant but I want to dye my hair blue for my baby shower. I dyed it in the beginning of my pregnancy and my doctor never mentioned anything but it's black now and I would need to strip my hair first to get the color out in order to dye it the color I want. Anyone pregnant and dyed their hair? I'm currently 27 weeks and would be doing it within the next few weeks
