What would you do if your SO basically said you were a bad parent?

Last night at about 5am, it was my husband's turn to feed and put our son to sleep. My husband fed him but our son was been fuzzy when he put down to sleep. I started shushing our son rather than getting up right away in hopes that my husband would wake up and put him to sleep again since it was still his turn.

My husband takes the hint but I can tell he is sleept and VERY grumpy about it. As my husband picks up our son he says "it's ok son, I'll be a good parent."

I immediately took offense and was like "are you trying to say I'm not a good parent?" Needless to say this conversation quickly went downhill and we are now both VERY pissed off.

During our argument he claims that he didn't call me a bad parent and that he just said he'll be a good parent. To me this sounds like complete BS.

Am I reading too much into this? He also made it a point to tell our 5 week old that "mommy is being dramatic and looking for attention."

I'm so pissed off and sad right now. My husband and I were doing pretty good and working as a team but things between us seem to be going bad for the last week or two. This really sucks...😔
