It's an Irish name mainly, and I really like it. But, I nor the father are Irish and we live in the US, in the south. Would it be a weird name to give to our future daughter?

I wouldn't say it'd be "weird" but it will be difficult for others to pronounce. if you like it then go for it. I went to school with people that had different first names and they just went by their middle name or a shortened version of their first.

Ex: Tatshayona...we just called her Shay lol
