Dumb question but idk

How long does the flu usually last? I started really bad sick about Thursday or Friday but I've had only a cough since the previous week from about Tuesday that week. I have stuffy, runny nose, sneezing, bad deep cough, headache and I got theraflu medicine for it. I think I got it from my bf and he had about 4 or 5 days till he actually felt better. I keep feeling worse and I have only a temp of 99.4 F which isn't much of a fever I know. I just want to feel better already
