Weight problems

I just had my 21 year old check up a couple of days ago and my doctor told I weight 215 😔😰 and I really want to be back at let's say 180 or so I know that's a long way but I wanted some tips on how to help assit me in getting back down. I know the basics no take out, little to no sugar and fats.. But maybe a supplement that could help me? I read up on hydroxcut and I'm not sure if that's a good one.. Or like any of your stories(if this applies to you) that helped you acheive your weight. I was going to add a picture but I rather not. Thank you all in advance. 😘
