first or second trimester?

I'm confused. I'm 12w1d and some things are saying I'm in my second trimester now, but others are saying the second trimester starts when you hit 13 weeks. Anyone able to tell me for sure?

First trimester would be the 12 th week. I look at 13 like the transition week between first and second because after like 2.5 days you'd be considered second trimester.

13+1 would be the start of the second trimester, but I am going based off twelve weeks because that's traditional knowledge, it would get old explaining to friends and family that is now the thirteenth week, as I never heard of that until using this app.
