Birth experiences?

I'm a FTM and don't really know what to expect. I'm due soon and just want to hear different experiences.

Everyone is different. Every birth is different, even for the same person.

Baby #1 [ 3 days before due date]: I started having belly-button-to-back contractions back to back every 5 minutes on the dot around 5:30pm. My mom drove me to the hospital and after being admitted, I was checked and dilated to a 4. They hooked my belly up to the machine to track contractions and all that but I had to wait a few hours before getting my epidural. Worst part honestly was being hounded by nurses for signatures during contractions and having in laws come in and crowd me. But I eventually got my epidural and they said it'd take 15 minutes to take affect but as soon as I laid down, it worked immediately. You still feel pressure in your butt, but it's way better than the contractions (in my opinion). They ended up breaking my water afterwards. Midnight hit, they had me start pushing. Two hours later, hes born
 Second degree tear, got stitched up and left the hospital a day late due to iron deficiency.

Second son [born 3 days before due date]: Woke up at 2am with standard bathroom pains (poo cramping-like pains across the top of my pelvis). Didn't realize I was in labor until I noticed the pains were coming in 2 minute intervals. Had my dad take me to the hospital. Admitted immediately, checked and dilated to a 6. Hooked up to the belly monitor. Got my epidural about as soon as I got there. Worked a little too well, couldn't even feel the pressure in my butt during contractions. Nurse broke my water and noticed my son had a bowel movement. Needed antibiotics. Had me labor for awhile. Started noticing I could feel pain in my left hip even though I was completely numb. Doctor finally came to check and my son was pretty much birthing himself. Five minutes of pushing and he was born. Second degree tear, same spot, same stitches. We stayed a day longer due to his jaundice.

Adrenaline gets pumping and you just focus on what you gotta do.
