help with unexplained test results
Hi, looking for a little advice :) I'm 26+2. I have had recurrent UTIs through this pregnancy, I have been on low dose antibiotics for 12 weeks. I have lupus anti coagulant and antiphospholipid syndrome, for this I am on blood thinners and asprin daily, I have been on these since 6weeks preg.
I have been feeling unwell for a few weeks, bad palpitations, shortness of breath, nausea, overly tired, tender stomach, heavy arms, headaches, swelling in legs, nothing major but lots of bits that are unpleasant together if that makes sense.
I went to the dr expecting bloods for iron and to get iron supplements.
My dr noted low blood pressure(85/50), swelling and putting in legs and +++leuccocytes(every test has come back +for leucs in this pregnancy but no UTI for 11 weeks), my bloods have come back with low haemoglobin and high coagulants. They have requested I have further bloods taken in 3 days then more in another 2 weeks, they haven't prescribed iron as they need to monitor as in their words it's 'not a straight forward iron deficiency', they haven't increased my blood thinners as they're 'concerned something is going on'.
I'm not with my consultant for another 2 weeks and my doctor isn't giving me much information because they don't want to worry me, again, their words. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Do I need to be concerned? Surely if I'm feeling unwell and these tests are coming back they should be treating instead of monitoring and keeping me in the dark?? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, TIA x
