12 week scan but didn't hear the heartbeat?

I thought I would've heard my baby's heartbeat at my scan yesterday but didn't, I see lots of people posting how many beats per minute etc yet they didn't say anything like that to me, loved seeing it on the screen and I do have a Doppler at home so I get to listen to it, but it would've been nice to see and hear it too. Any one know why this is? I'm from England

In UK there dont let us hear it that early normally at 16 week appt they use a Doppler for us to hear c

Mine was on a machine that didn't have a Doppler. Freaked me out for the first half of the appt then I finally asked and she was just like oh, this one doesn't have a Doppler. All casual, I was kind of irritated lol

I didnt get to hear it at my 10w either but seeing it is still good.

I had an emergency scan at 10 weeks and I heard my little beans heartbeat but had a scan today and I didn't get to listen to it.

I've never heard heartbeats during ultrasounds. (My Dr has me getting them every 4 weeks.) It's pretty common for them to have the sound off. I love seeing their little hearts going though! My last one we got to see one baby grabbing her feet, the other suckier her thumb!

I only heard my baby's heartbeat on an 8 week scan (which was a private scan) I didn't hear it again until my 16 week midwife appointment. I never heard it on any of my nhs scans at 12,20,28,32 or 36 weeks.

I didn't hear the HB at any of my ultrasounds. They just tell me what the HR is. Only time I hear it is when I go for my monthly check ups and that's all they do is ask how I'm doing and check the HB

No idea it's very unusual. They let me hear ultrasound starting at 6 weeks and on 🤔 I'd ask your doctor next time why that happened.
