Would you keep shampoo in a room that almost is never used?

So I just had my father in law and his step daughter come down for the weekend. The step daughter is the kind of person that wants to be catered to. She requested to use the master bathroom because there wasn't any shampoo or conditioner in the guest room. I was raised to always take my toiletries anywhere I go. Would you guys keep shampoo in a room that almost is never used?

It might just be me, but I always have spare stuff like that. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, condition, soap.. The basics

I wouldn't keep shampoo or conditioner in a room that wasn't used. I also wouldn't want to use someone else's shampoo and conditioner is I liked what I had. Certain products leave a film on my scalp, cause dandruff or make my hair greasy. I would have assumed she'd bring her own.

Tell her the motel 6 up the street has toiletries in the bathroom. I get asking to borrow some once she arrives, but to demand that they be provided is rude. Travel shampoo is a dollar.

Whether I kept it there or not, I would CERTAINLY put shampoo etc. in there if I was going to have guests!! I'm amazed that anyone would expect a houseguest to bring basics like shampoo. I want my guests to feel at home, not feel like they're at a cheap motel.

What I'm wondering is why she's asking to use a completely different bathroom instead of just asking to use some shampoo and conditioner 😂

I was always taught to leave shampoo, conditioner, extra TP, toothbrushes, floss, feminine products, etc. for just in case my guests don't have these things. My mom always did it and my grandma always did it, so naturally I do it as well. You certainly don't have to by any means, but I'm an over-preparer (if that's a word lol) I also have a cheap hairdryer that I bought and a bang straightener, but I'm an overboard kinda gal! My husband always told me that I would be great owning my own hotel 😂

If I don't have any extras in there already, I'd ask my guests if they needed any! When I fly home, I can't bring a ton of extra toiletries so I'm usually in need of them wherever I'm staying.

I would probably keep bottles in there (smaller, cheaper ones) just in case. I've always brought my own stuff too, but you never know.

The cheap shampoo, yes. Lol.

I was raised super poor, so having stuff in the extra bathroom feels clean, and good to me. But I would buy stuff I didn't really care if it got wasted.

I don't understand why it's a big deal that she needed to use your shampoo and conditioner lol........ sometimes when people travel, they forget to pack something as simple as shampoo.... why not cater to your guests and just let her use some....?
