Standing baby?

Question

My baby is 7 week old and has been periodically attempting to "stand" on my lap when I hold her.  She stiffens her legs and pushes herself against my hand holding her.  She has done this with both when she is calm as well as upset.  Anyone else?  Should I be concerned?

My son does it all the time but my mil goes
mad and insits because there still so little their ankles can't support their weight so he will be bowlegged. Not sure how much truth there is to it mind you 🙄

This is actually a reflex they have from birth - they would flex their legs like that to move themselves around inside the uterus essentially. So, nothing to worry about and no, it won't make your child bow legged.

My son is 9 weeks old and he does that all the time.. I think he just likes to be up and looking around.

My little girl is 8 weeks and has been doing this since she was a few weeks old. They're probably just testing out those legs! 😊

Not sure about  he bow legged part lol... but yes there bones aren't strong enough to stand them yet
