how long was your hospital stay?

I know c-section stays can be a little longer because of the major surgery but if you had a vaginal birth, how long did you stay in the hospital after having your LO?

Insurance paid for two nights after delivery, so I made sure I stayed each time 😆 I was in no rush to get home. I'm one of those weirdos that liked staying at the hospital. For once, I did don't have to clean, cook, or take care of anyone besides a newborn.

In the uk of everything has gone fine, and all checks on mum and baby are good then it's a 6 hour discharge..had the same with both my kiddies x

24 hrs. Was my 2nd and everything was well.

About 30 hours. My son was born at 2:43am and in Canada they have to do tests on your baby (blood work ect) at 24hrs. So they did that and we were released the following morning 😊

Where I live it's a 24hr stay after a vaginal delivery (because they run tests on baby at the 24hr mark) and 2-4 days after a c section

Standard is 2 days full days after you deliver for vaginal, 3 days c section, with no complications. But I requested to go home a day early and they allowed it (including with my c section) you just have to get okay from your dr and pediatrician if you want ty go early.
