33 week scare...
I am currently sitting in the hospital being monitored for preterm labor 😔  I am 33 weeks today with twins and up until now, this pregnancy has been a breeze.  Around 5pm I started feeling very "tight" in my belly and just generally uncomfortable.  I didn't think much of it at the time and sort of played it off.  I'm a nurse that works night shift, so I continued getting ready for work and went about my evening.  The next few hours at work I realized that I was getting more uncomfortable and the tightness was happening more frequently.  So to be safe, I called my husband and went up to the women's center to get checked.  Once on the monitor it was determined that I was indeed having contractions and it wasn't just Braxton hicks.  My mood pressure was also elevated, which I haven't had any issues with before.  Luckily my blood work came back normal, but the co tractions continued despite fluids.  I received a dose of terbutaline to stop my contractions and a steroid shot due to my fibronectin swab coming back positive.  I'm going to be monitored for a few more hours and then hopefully released, but it looks like bed rest for this momma and babies. Ladies, please listen to your bodies and if something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Â
