Pregnancy test?

How early after having sex did you take a pregnancy test? I know the box says 6 days before a missed period but I want to know now! I've had some symptoms but am afraid that it's all in my head since I want a baby so bad! Any advice would help!

The boxes are so misleading! I ovulate later in my cycle. This month it was cd 17. So my luteal phase is only 11 days, not 14. So if I tested 6 days before my missed period I would be testing at 5dpo and the egg would probably not have implanted by then. 
So... If you have a regular 28 day cycle, and ovulate on cd14 then go by the box, but if you're like me and a million other people who ovulate a but later... Then wait until 10-11 DPO.

I tested 2 days before AF was due to arrive Nov 3rd,  2014 & got my BFP! ☺
