vaginal irritation almost a week after having sex?

Okay so almost a week ago my boyfriend and I had sex. The only condoms he currently had on him was a lifestyle condom. We put it on and started doing our thing (lol) and noticed it was really really dry. I looked at the wrapper and couldn't find the expiration date (probably out of my own frustration- I'm sure I was looking right at it) and just gave up and we kept going with the condom still on. Needless to say the sex wasn't too great on my end because it was just very very dry. I made sure to pee after sex and everything and then I noticed I felt very irritated down there but figured it was because of the super dry condom. It's been almost a week and it's still irritated down there! Not as bad as it was but it's still a bother. Anyone have any experience with dry condoms and or the irritation it can cause?
