So - this week I felt a lump in one of my breasts that didn't feel normal, and I made an appointment with my doctor to have it checked it. I'm 23, so I figured it was likely nothing but I still wanted to have it checked out.
After hours at the doctors office, having an ultrasound of the lump done and a needle stuck into my breast (OUCH!) doctors determined that the lump was something called a Fibroadenoma. These are apparently quite common in women ages 20-30ish.
* I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or diagnosis. And I hope that this thread could become a place to share our stories as well as tips on how to monitor your own breast health and know more about your body!
