I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and my husband is not supporting me whatsoever when it comes to our oldest child being watched by his mother. She's a great person but is refusing to come to our house to be with our son. Reasons why I am pushing so hard for this is because her house is not childproof for a two year old in any way! . No gate at the top of the stairs where she said our son would be sleeping (which we have asked them to get (on our bill) but won't because it's "not necessary".) his toys are here, clothes, food, everything he needs that we would have to pack up and haul over to her place on our way to the hospital....  She lives like 3 minutes from us so why is it such a pain for her to be at our house for a night or two? My husband thinks I'm over reacting about it and needs to let it go, but I'm also thinking that I don't want to have to be worrying about him while we are away. There's a lot of other reasons why it makes the most sense for her to come here but that's the main one. No rude comments please, I'm just a mom looking out for the safety of her child.
