More frequent discharge mean labor is near?

I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday, and for the past 4 days I've been having a lot of mucousy discharge. I've had mucousy discharge before, but it was only every now and then, never for a few days straight. Could this mean labor is near? Any personal experiences?
