Saying I love you too soon?

When did you or your SO say those three words? 
Do you think maybe it was too soon?
I told my boyfriend I loved him only after about a week. That may seem too soon for some people, but I really felt it to be true. We grew close very quickly. We talked and hung out for a few weeks before we decided to date and make it official. The connection we have is unlike anything I've ever felt with anyone before. I have no regrets not waiting until we've dating longer. Excuse I do love him.

My fiancé told me he loved me like an hour into our relationship, and I said the same. We'd known each other over a year and a half before we got together though, and were really good friends. I definitely wouldn't want it that quickly from a stranger though 🙈

It hasn't happened to me necessarily, but I honestly would break up with a guy for saying I love you too soon. For me, it's a red flag. But I guess it depends on the person--I don't believe in love at first sight. For me, the relationship has to mature or I love you just loses its significance. I need the ups and downs, the tears and the laughter, etc. or I won't believe it when he says it (I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to say it first).

I broke up with a guy for telling me he loved me. We just met & talked for 1 week & then became boyfriend & girlfriend. After 2 weeks he told me he loved me & it definitely scared me off. He was talking about engagement rings, me moving in with him, buying me jewelry, & asking me if I could see us together in 10 years...I have been hesitant to get into a relationship since then.😳

My boyfriend and I were sleeping together for 3 months before he asked me out. A week after that he told me he loved me. I was the first girl he ever said it to. I waited another week before I said it back. Personally I get that you can feel super connected to someone and click and all that bull but scientific research has theorized that it takes around 4 months of liking someone to ACTUALLY fall in love with them. I wouldn't use the "L" word until around that time because anytime before that is just an infatuation IMO. I can't love someone I don't know and haven't been through shit with. I can love their personality. I can love their eyes or hair. I can love how they treat people. I can love how they act. But I will not say I love them until I really fucking mean it.

I think it took us 6 months only because my boyfriend was too shy to say it and he didn't know if I was ready. So for the longest time he would say I wuv you... I know it's childish but he was so shy hahaha. I was the first one to say I love you (Valentine's Day it was so cute) and he was so happy! He told me that he had been wanting to tell me for the longest time but he didn't know if I was ready to say it back. He's such a dork haha. I think it all depends on the relationship though. People can say it in the first week, first month, etc etc. I don't think there's a set time to say it to your SO it just depends on you two. If you felt a connection right away then you guys say it! It's just you two, nobody else's business. I hope you two live a long and happy life together!

I did that too. Like 2 weeks into us dating. He was at my job and was gettinv ready to get me some lunch. So as he was leaving i said it. I think my heart stopped when it came out but it felt so right to say it. We hadnt even had sex yet. Here we are 7mths later n a wedding to come in Aug. Its ok go head n love that man
