relationship trouble

I've been officially dating my boyfriend for about a month and a half, and we started talking in November. Everything was going great until pretty recently. For the the past 3 weekends we have made plans to hang out and he has bailed out every single time. Every excuse he's had is legitimate and I'm fine if sh*t happens and things come up, but what's driving me nuts is that he won't initiate making a plan that will work for both of us, I'm always putting in the work to try to see him. He's also been less affectionate and has had a lower sex drive (for sexting at least, when we hook up in person it's fine) I told him my concerns last night, and he said that there's nothing wrong with us but his schedule for his school robotics team is getting increasingly busier, so I asked him when he would be available next time. He said he didn't know. My parents want me to dump him immediately, but I still really care about him. It just drives me crazy that I haven't seen him in almost a month (I still have his Christmas present) and I feel like he isn't helping much with finding a way to see each other. I wish we could go back to how things were when we started dating :(
