evening primrose oil ????

Question

Is anyone currently taking or tooken oil capsules to help with cervix ripening? I don't need anyone's negativity, so keep it to yourselfs. Just looking to hear stories on if it worked for people, how long it took to work if it did and their experiences that's all!

I started about a week before i had my son. Started at 35 week. Inserted 3 vaginally for 2 days,  then stopped then a few days layer took them orally.  I didnt do that many at alll... so i cant really say if it helped or didnt. I went to the hospital at 3cm at 36w6d and went to a 4 by walking and running stairs so my dr kept me and started pitocin. I was ganna get induced soon anyways as i was very high risk.  I had obstetric cholastesis and an iugr baby.both of my kids were born at 36weeks 6days.  She was 5.5lbs and healthy (= no nicu time :p
She's now 9 weeks old =)

When is good time to start taking these? Sorry I have no input or experience on actually trying them.. lol
