Ive been in the hospital since 830 am today.. Very little luck with the cytomel.. Went from 1 1/2 cm to 2 cm in 6 hours.. Waiting to start the pitocin in the morning and hopefully he'll be here tomorrow... Uncomfortable in this hospital bed..

I was induced.  The cervidil only dilated my cervix one additional centimeter but I was already completely effaced so my water broke. The doctor's plan was to place the cervidil at 4 and then 8 and let me wait until 8am the next morning and start the pitocin and break my water at 12pm.  But my water broke 13 hours ahead of schedule and I ended up not needing the pitocin.  I don't know if I am a baby but my regular contractions sucked so I am glad I didn't get the pitocin.  I got an epidural and went from 4cms to 10cms in an hour.  I know it slows down labor for some people but it didn't for me.

I'm being induced now. I started out 2.5cm dilated, 50% effaced when they put cervidil in at 3pm yesterday. Over the course of the 12 hours it was in, I only dilated to a 3, but now I'm 90% effaced. I'm currently on a low dose of pitocin with regular contractions, but basically playing the waiting game. It's going to be a long day....

I was induced Monday at 930 am and had my baby boy at 135am Tuesday morning!

They started me on pitocin and broke my water 30 mins after that. I instantly started having really bad contractions, so be prepared for that. I got an epidural about an hour after that. I slept on and off all day. then after about 17 hours of labor I had my baby vaginally.

So mostly for me I wasn't excepting the contractions to get so intense so quick so be prepared for that. And if you get an epidural it does slow down labor.

I'm currently in my induction. I got two pills inserted yesterday and had barely any change. Then at 1 am this morning they started pitocin. I didn't change until about 1pm. I was finally 2-3 cm and thinned so she broke my water. After about 20 minutes contractions came strong and hard. I got an epidural an hour after they started. I haven't been checked since 1 when she broke my water but here's to hoping I have my son soon. I've been here since 7:30 am yesterday it's not 4:40 pm the next day.

I've been induced twice now and both were very easy deliveries without complication.  With my second (who I had last week) I only pushed for maybe 10-15min and she was here!  Pushed longer with my first but still was a relatively easy birth experience compared to stories I've heard from friends who went into labor on their own.  Good luck!

I just got induced and had baby yesterday. Best labour of all 3 of my children by far. (Other 2 came on there own) got my epidural before I could even get any pain. The pain only started once I was fully dilated and ready to push. And then it was all pretty quick and she was out and back to no pain lol
