Backwards uterus?? Anyone have one??

Question

Went in for my US yesterday, and the nurse told me my uterus was backwards, it could cause back pain and uncomfortable intercourse. Anyone else have this?? What were your symptoms? Anything different? I kinda feel like my baby belly will grow towards my back instead of my belly.... Maybe I'm just crazy, or going crazy.    Any info is appreciated!

I'm pretty sure there are no dangers associated with having a retroveted uterus during pregnancy. Good luck to you and congrats on your baby!! 💕

Do you mean like tipped backwards? If so, you don't need to worry at all. I never even knew I had one til a sonographer told me so at an ultrasound. I never had back pain or painful intercourse. When you get pregnant the weight of the growing uterus tips it forward and out, so you'll definitely bump out in the front and not the back lol. It's actually really common for women's uteruses to be tipped back (:

I have a retroverted uterus which apparently flopped forward now that it's getting bigger (they mentioned this at my last ultrasound at 21w 6d). I haven't had any problems in the decade or so that I've known about the retroverted uterus
