my baby's sad first birthday... I need kind words
Hi. My baby girl is tuning one tomorrow. For her birthday the universe got her a UTI, rotavirus (day 8 of nonstop diarrhea), and a pretty gnarly diaper rash. She has to go in for blood and stool samples tomorrow morning, on her birthday. She is getting an ultrasound to determine the cause of the UTI next week. I just feel so awful about it, like I'm a terrible mom. She's on day 4 of antibiotics for the UTI. Only nursing, won't eat or drink anything. She had her 1 year wellness check and they had to postpone her vaccines. She's lost 1lb. The doctors say none of it is my fault but I just feel terrible. Has anyone gone through this before?
