white tonsils?

I can't tell if this is normal or not.....I have like white pieces on my left side of my tonsils. I'm scared it's strep but I have no fever but I had bad cramping today. And a dry mouth threat. My sis says it's tonsil stones. My mom thinks it's just the tonsils cleaning out my bloodstream. And yes I will see a doctor if this doesn't go away. Just looking for input thanks!
