28 weeks. What happens if I try and pump now?

It's not good. It's been said it can start contractions (tried and didn't work) and it takes the colostrum from your baby.

No to not, not only could it cause you to go in to preterm labor but you will end up pumping out a lot of colostrum and that's what baby needs most! :) so please don't pump

While I don't agree that fully pumping colostrum would be wise at this point (and probably not comfortable) It is said that it can cause labour. But you can't exactly use up colustrum, it's not a finite resource. I used to leak colustrum excessively with my daughter, i would wake up in a sticky puddle if I didn't wear breast pads to bed, and my daughter got more than enough when she was born.
