Gestational Diabetes?

I took my 1 hour glucose test on Wednesday and the hospital called me today and said my levels were slightly elevated and i need to take the 3 hour test. Should i be worried? What does this mean for me and my baby? I don't know much about it, does that make me high risk? Am i more at risk for preterm delivery? Sorry if these are silly questions.

Please dont change your eating habits just to pass the 3h test.  Probably you pass it anyways,  if not,  than at least you know you have diabetes and can do something about it (first diet,  than maybe also insulin).  Its best for the baby to know.
Im on insulin since week 17 and my baby is doing well.  Risks are that the baby will grow too big and that he or she cant manage sugar levels the first days after birth. And often lungs are a bit behind.  The better diabetes is under control the lower these risks.

Same exact thing happened to me, failed the 1 hr...was only slightly elevated. Went in for the 3 hr test, passed all 3 blood draws with flying colors. I had fasted since 7pm the night before the test, no drink,food. Make sure you bring a snack to eat after the test, you'll be hungry!

If you have gestational diabetes you won't pass no matter what you do. I failed my one hour and passed my three hour. I honestly wouldn't stress too much about it.
