Rare, but how rare?

I know it's super uncommon these days to be told you're having a girl and then you end up having a boy. I was just curious if anyone had an experience like that or knew someone who did? And if ultrasound pictures are available that's fun too. (:

A coworker of mine was told she was having a girl ( after already having 2 boys) she was told it was a girl at 20 weeks and again at 32 weeks by 2 different technicians. She sold all her boy stuff and bought all new pink girly accessories. When baby was born it was a he! She was devistated ( not that it was a boy just that now she was a little unprepared and had only pink)

I think it depends on how you find out. Blood tests are far more accurate than ultrasounds alone. Also, if you do go by ultrasound, how soon you have your gender scan. I've seen people on here getting gender scans at 12 and 13 weeks. Normally people wait until 20 weeks. 
I've read that ultrasounds are anywhere from 90-95% accurate. 
I had an OB tell me they are extremely accurate with reading gender, but still had 2-3 babies a year that were not what they thought they would be. 
I have a friend who go an early gender prediction, and went back at 20 weeks and their little boy was now a little girl.  
We had our blood test done at 10 weeks. They're 99.9% accurate and it's been confirmed over and over that he's a boy.

A friend of mine was told her entire pregnancy she was having a girl. She was high risk and put on bedrest in the hospital for a couple months so I know they did plenty of ultrasounds. Baby was about 1.5 months premature and when it was born it was a boy! It's rare but it happens lol

My friend did the blood test came back as a boy, she had her baby preterm at 30 weeks and she gave birth to a little girl: a lot of people in my LGBT group on FB have been having the same situation. I really hope my little girl doesn't come out a boy lol! Every item of clothes she has is pretty much pink or coral lol! If a boy that's fine too we originally wanted a boy!
